Wooden Hippo Figurine, Vintage Hand-Carved Solid Wood, 11x4.9 In
Visible tool marks and a smooth natural patina highlight the wooden hippo figurine, a vintage hand-carved solid wood sculpture measuring 11 × 4.9 in (28 × 12.5 cm) that carries warm rustic character and mid-century carving sensibilities. The piece is hand carved from solid wood with a natural wood tone and a simple, expressive silhouette; its generous scale and tactile surface deliver an earthy presence suitable for shelf display, office desk decor, or a vintage home display while remaining consistent with the original listing details and vendor attribution to Grannysbox.
The form shows individual carving details and natural variations associated with age, described in the listing as good vintage condition with signs of age and a smooth patina rather than recent restoration. The aesthetic aligns with safari animal art and boho shelf accent trends without altering the factual record: the material is solid wood, the subject is a hippopotamus figure, and the era is likely mid-century. Use notes in the original description identify the carving as suitable for rustic shelves, collected interiors, and as a wooden animal statue within animal figurine collections; those contextual uses are reflected here without added claims about provenance, restoration, or modern manufacture.
